So the golf season for 2019 is finally here. The course opens for members on Sunday from 09.00.

So much has changed in the last week with sunny days and plus over night temperatures.
The greens have now been cut four times and they’ve also had a light verti-cut to help thin out the amount of grass on the greens. The length of the grass was quite long coming out of winter, but we managed to come down from 8mm to 6mm in a week or so. At this point we shouldn’t be complaining about having too much grass on the greens.
 
Some of the tees are in really good shape, but others have really suffered from the lack of water last season. Next week the tees will get a deep verti-cut, to make a bed for new seed and then a sand dressing.
 
 The fairways have been cut and are starting to look greener and greener by the day.
